HUMS as part of THINK TANK COVID-19
Members of the Croatian Association for International Studies - HUMS in cooperation with the Center for Risk Analysis and Crisis Management - CARUK, participate in the regional project THINK TANK COVID-19.
THINK TANK COVID-19 brings together eminent experts and scientists from the region, but also those who live and work around the world. Members of THINK TANKA regularly hold weekly webinars, presentations with their presentations as well as complete recordings of webinars are posted on the websites of both associations. The presentations were part of lively discussions on current security and other topics in real time with the participation of prominent representatives of the academic community, as well as experts in the field of security practices from the Western Balkans and Croatia. This activity began immediately after the declaration of the pandemic, and continued continuously throughout 2020 until today.
The International Summer School „Šipan“
The International Summer School has traditionally been held on the island of Šipan since 2001, with the exception of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Professor, PhD Radovan Vukadinović was the initiator of the international summer school, and the school is jointly organized by the Atlantic Council of Croatia and the CISA in cooperation with the NATO Information Department in Brussels, the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, Konrad Adenauer Foundation, Vienna Peace Institute and similar institutions dealing with the topic of international relations.
Every year, more than one hundred and fifty politicians, diplomats, military officials, scientists and journalists from the countries of Southeast Europe, the USA and Western Europe pass through the International Summer School.
